Labise is an online French school offering one-to-one preparation for the DELF and DALF exams, and for the TCF and TEF on request. Lessons are taught entirely by native French teachers, including accredited DELF/DALF examiners, and are built around each student's target exam, level and deadline.
DELF or DALF: which one do you need?
  • DELF (A1–B2)
The standard diploma for general and academic French. DELF B2 is the level most French universities ask for, and one of the two ways to prove your French for naturalisation. Valid for life.
  • DALF (C1–C2)
The advanced diploma. It proves a near-native command of French and exempts you from the language test at most French universities. Valid for life.
French naturalisation now requires B2
Since 1 January 2026, an application for French naturalisation requires a B2 level of French — raised from the previous B1. You can prove this with the DELF B2 diploma or the TCF IRN test, both recognised by every préfecture. If naturalisation is your goal, we prepare you specifically for the B2 level and the exam format.

Why native French teachers make the difference
Marketplaces such as Preply and italki mix teachers of every background and quality. At Labise, every teacher is a native French speaker — and for exam preparation, several hold the official DELF/DALF examiner accreditation (habilitation). Your pronunciation, your written register and your oral-exam strategy are shaped by people who speak French as their mother tongue and, in many cases, sit on the other side of the examiner's table.

What Our Students Are Saying
  • Testimonial of Anna

I had been looking for a native speaker for my French classes for a while, and thanks to Labise, I started my learning journey with Camille. My native language is Russian, and I studied at a French school in Moscow, but I’ve been living in the US for the past 9 years, where English became my primary language. My goal was to refresh what I had learned 20 years ago in school, and Camille perfectly tailored the lessons to focus on grammar, vocabulary, and speaking skills. After just 5 classes, I already feel much more confident in my French knowledge.

Loren is a wonderful teacher! She immediately created a comfortable atmosphere in the classes, which was very relaxing and helped me feel at ease, making it easier to absorb the material. University classes were always challenging, with confusing materials, which made my desire to learn the language fade. Loren has reignited my passion for learning French. She explains everything clearly and ensures I fully understand before moving on to new topics.
French is still quite difficult for me, but after just a month of classes, I’ve already noticed progress. It’s easier for me to understand spoken French, and I’m becoming more confident in expressing my thoughts. I always look forward to our lessons!

I’ve been studying with Deborah for 2 months now, and I’m very pleased with the quality of the lessons – they’re well-structured. As a 'false beginner' in French, I needed to refresh my basic grammar and expand my vocabulary. Loren also focuses on pronunciation and phonetics, which is essential in French. Thanks to her, I’m finally able to have simple conversations and interact with others.
    I highly recommend Deborah!
